The Opportunity:
A fast-growing, private equity-backed SaaS business is seeking an ambitious and technically strong Group Reporting Manager to join its London-based finance leadership team. With revenues of approximately £60m, EBITDA of £15m, and an active growth strategy spanning both organic expansion and acquisitions across the UK, Europe and wider international markets, the business is entering an exciting phase of scale, professionalisation and value creation.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, the successful individual will play a pivotal role in strengthening the group’s financial reporting, governance and control environment as the business continues to grow through M&A and international expansion. This is a highly visible position with significant exposure to senior leadership, investors and key external stakeholders.
The Role:
The Group Reporting Manager will take ownership of the Group’s reporting cycle while helping to build a best-in-class finance function capable of supporting a larger, increasingly complex international business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting processes
- Preparing consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts
- Supporting year-end audit processes and managing relationships with external advisors
- Driving improvements across financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks
- Supporting tax, VAT and wider regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions
- Working closely with FP&A to improve reporting quality, insight and decision support
- Supporting acquisition activity, integration projects and finance change initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, controls and reporting timelines
- Helping professionalise the finance function in line with the expectations of a high-growth PE-backed business
The Requirement:
The business is seeking a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong technical accounting foundation and experience operating within a well-rounded reporting or controllership environment.
The successful candidate is likely to possess:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
- Experience across audit, statutory reporting, tax, VAT and financial controls
- Exposure to multi-entity or group structures
- Experience supporting FP&A, budgeting and wider commercial finance activities
- A track record of delivering process improvements and enhancing finance operations
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior leadership
- A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-oriented approach
- Previous experience within SaaS, technology, private equity-backed or acquisitive environments would be advantageous
Career Progression
This role is designed as a succession opportunity. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and CFO, gaining exposure to all aspects of the finance function, with a clear pathway into a Group Financial Controller position within approximately two years.
The Environment
The business offers a highly collaborative, energetic and people-focused culture where high performance is balanced with teamwork and continuous development. It is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to combine technical excellence with commercial exposure in a business undergoing significant growth and transformation.
For an individual seeking to accelerate their career within a dynamic private equity-backed SaaS environment, this represents a genuine opportunity to step into a future finance leadership role while helping shape the next phase of the company’s journey.
