Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced **Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes, cloud monitoring, and production deployments on GCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and other IaC tools.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting solutions using Google Cloud Operations Suite (Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging).

• Manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, and Cloud SQL.

• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, service accounts, secrets management, and network security.

• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and architecture teams to streamline software delivery and improve deployment processes.

• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

• Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, high availability, and business continuity initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**.

• Expertise in **CI/CD pipeline development and automation**.

• Strong experience with **Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)**.

• Hands-on experience with **Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)**.

• Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Google Cloud Build.

• Good understanding of GCP networking, IAM, security, and cloud architecture.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

• Experience with Git and version control systems.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills.

• Understanding of Linux administration, networking, DNS, load balancing, and security fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.

• Experience implementing SRE practices, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Knowledge of GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.

• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio.

• Exposure to cloud cost optimization, FinOps, and automated compliance.

• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
