Azure cloud platform Engineer

Key Skills

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI, and API integrations,
• combined with experience in cloud platform and database administration, performance tuning, monitoring, backup & disaster recovery, incident management, security & governance (Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, Service Principals).
• Basic DevOps practices including Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM), PowerShell, Azure CLI, T-SQL, and automation scripting

Job Description

• Operate and support Azure-based cloud data platforms, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Administer Azure SQL, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure Storage services.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize database, pipeline, and platform performance.
• Manage user access, security, and governance using Microsoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC.
• Support Power BI, APIs, and enterprise data integrations.
• Perform production deployments, environment provisioning, data migrations, and disaster recovery activities.
• Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code for platform deployments.

Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
