About the Role

Jeeves is seeking an AI Engineer to build and deploy production-ready AI systems that improve financial operations for businesses. This role focuses on integrating artificial intelligence into the company’s financial platform, including intelligent spend categorization, anomaly detection, and large language model (LLM)-powered workflows that help finance teams work more efficiently.

You will collaborate with backend engineers, data scientists, and product teams to take AI solutions from prototype to production. The position emphasizes reliability, observability, cost efficiency, and practical business value rather than research alone. You will also contribute to defining the company’s AI engineering practices as its platform and operations scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI-powered features that process real financial data for business customers.
• Develop and maintain LLM pipelines that support financial workflows and operational efficiency.
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures for AI-driven applications.
• Build intelligent spend categorization and anomaly detection capabilities.
• Take AI solutions from initial prototypes through production deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Develop reliable, observable, and cost-efficient AI systems suitable for real-world financial applications.
• Identify, investigate, and address AI failure modes, including incorrect outputs that could affect financial decisions.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, data scientists, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into the financial platform.
• Contribute to the development of scalable AI engineering practices as the company expands its use of artificial intelligence.

Required Qualifications

• The role calls for experience building LLM pipelines and designing RAG architectures.
• Experience operating machine learning systems in production environments.
• A strong focus on AI reliability, observability, cost efficiency, and practical business outcomes.
• An understanding of the risks associated with incorrect AI outputs in financial applications.
