Job Description
Can you help keep Sutton Sea Cadets shipshape? We’re looking for a volunteer!
Do you have practical DIY skills, a knack for maintenance, or simply some time to spare and a desire to make a difference in your local community?
Sutton Sea Cadets is looking for a Site Management & Maintenance Volunteer to help keep our facilities safe, clean and in great condition for the 70+ young people who benefit from our unit.
How could you help?
- Carry out basic maintenance and repairs
- Help manage contractors and facility improvement projects
- Undertake security checks, fire alarm testing and hazard reporting
- Keep our buildings and meeting spaces safe and well maintained
Flexible volunteering hours can be agreed with the Unit Chair, making this a great opportunity to contribute around your existing commitments.
You don’t need to be a professional tradesperson. We’re looking for someone who is practical, observant, self-motivated and happy to be part of a team.
We’d also welcome support from anyone who could spare some time to help with cleaning.
Your contribution will help us provide a safe and welcoming environment where young people can build confidence, develop life skills and enjoy exciting nautical adventures.
Know someone who might be a great fit? A friend, colleague or connection with practical skills could make a real difference!
