Location: Montreal, Canada (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in DB2 UDB or Oracle PL/SQL development, Linux/Unix shell scripting, and Python/Perl programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, data processing, and automation within enterprise environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience developing complex queries, stored procedures, and scripts using DB2 UDB or Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex data retrieval queries.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix Shell Scripting.
• Solid programming experience with Python and/or Perl.
• Experience with Autosys or similar job scheduling tools.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and create functional and technical design documents.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Strong willingness to learn business domains and technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Greenplum Database.
• Experience with Informatica.
• Previous experience in the Financial Services or Banking industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL or DB2 database solutions.
• Create and optimize stored procedures, functions, and complex SQL queries.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell Scripting, Python, or Perl.
• Support data processing, scheduling, and batch operations.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and implement requirements.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize database processes.
• Prepare technical documentation and support production deployments.
