Operations/Admin Assistant + Catering Lead – Part-Time

Powder Shaved Snow is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented part-time team member to help with behind-the-scenes operations, admin support, and/or offsite catering events.

Please note: we are not currently hiring for regular shop shifts. This role is specifically for admin/operations support and catering events.

This role can be shaped depending on the candidate’s strengths. Some shifts may focus on admin and operations, while others may involve leading or supporting offsite catering events.

Operations/Admin responsibilities may include:

• Taking inventory and helping track supplies, ingredients, packaging, and catering materials
• Assisting with vendor orders, shopping lists, deliveries, and supply organization
• Creating daily to-do lists and helping keep shop operations organized
• Supporting staff training, checklists, and simple team communication
• Helping with catering prep, packing, unloading, and post-event organization

Catering Lead responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and packing supplies for offsite events
• Loading and unloading catering equipment
• Driving to and from catering events as needed
• Communicating professionally with clients onsite
• Setting up, serving, and breaking down events
• Leading team members during catering events
• Making sure service runs smoothly and on time
• Representing the business in a friendly and professional way

Ideal candidate:

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently once trained
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Has good judgment and stays calm under pressure
• Comfortable with light physical work, including lifting and moving catering supplies
• Food service, catering, admin, or small business experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license is required for the Catering Lead role

Schedule:
Part-time. Admin/operations shifts are usually short, approximately 2 hours per day, 2–4 days per week to start. Catering events vary by date and may include weekdays, evenings, or weekends.

This is not a regular shop shift position. Additional hours may be available through admin/operations work or catering events, but we are not currently hiring for standard in-shop shifts.

Pay:
$23–$28/hr depending on experience, responsibilities, and role fit. Training starts at $23–$25/hr, with room to increase as responsibilities grow.

Location:
Powder Shaved Snow in San Francisco, with some offsite catering events around the Bay Area.
