POSITION SUMMARY The Executive and Administrative Assistant provides cross-functional support to the Executive Director and Arts + Business Council of Greater Nashville broadly, helping organizational priorities, programs, events, and projects forward. Working directly with the Executive Director, this is a hands-on role for an organized, resourceful, and proactive professional who can manage details, solve problems, learn quickly, and shift comfortably between priorities.
The role will initially provide coverage for Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts (VLPA) during an employee’s parental leave, including case intake and processing, volunteer coordination, communication, and related program responsibilities. Beyond VLPA, the Assistant will also support the Executive Director and staff across programs, events, development, communications, administration, and special projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong follow-through, curiosity, good judgment, and a willingness to figure things out. This is an early-career professional position with meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to contribute across the organization.
