Position Summary

Our client is a leading global manufacturer, importer, and distributor of home décor and soft goods — including plush, bedding, blankets, and baby products, trusted by the world’s largest retail chains. They’re looking for a CAD Designer to support their product design and development team, specifically focused on soft goods. This role sits at the intersection of trend, creativity, and technical execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed CAD designs and technical flat sketches for soft goods (plush, blankets, pillows, bedding, etc.).
• Create accurate tech packs including construction details, measurements, material callouts, and colorways.
• Translate design concepts and trend direction into production-ready artwork files
• Collaborate with product development and sourcing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable at scale.
• Revise designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders and overseas production partners
• Maintain organized design files and version control throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support licensed brand design projects, ensuring artwork meets brand standards and licensor approvals.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• 3+ years of CAD design experience in soft goods, textiles, or consumer products.
• Experience working with Disney licensed products and meeting Disney brand/licensor standards.
• Ability to produce clean, accurate tech packs ready for factory use.
• Strong understanding of soft goods construction — seams, trims, fill, fabric types.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with a global team

Technical Skills (Required)

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple SKUs simultaneously.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional and global teams.
• Adaptability to feedback and iterative design processes.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required); Photoshop a plus.
• CAD design for soft goods and textiles.
• Tech pack creation and technical flat sketching.
• Knowledge of materials, construction, and manufacturing processes.
• File organization and version control.
• Understanding of licensed product design requirements (e.g., Disney standards)
