Job Description
Appointment Setter - Automotive AI
Remote Independent contractor (1099) Flexible schedule; part-time welcomeAbout LiquidAuto
LiquidAuto is the AI front office for automotive service centers. It answers service calls around the clock, handles texts, books appointments, answers routine questions, and routes conversations to the right team. Managers can review call transcripts and summaries, and advisors get context before speaking with a customer.
We’re already answering calls for customers including Jim Shorkey Auto Group. We’re a small team based in NYC, growing by helping dealerships capture missed service opportunities and give their service teams more time with customers.
The role
You’ll start conversations with franchise dealership decision-makers and book qualified, 20-minute meetings with our founder. The founder runs the demo, handles pricing, and closes the deal. Your focus is outreach, qualification, and getting the right person to attend.
What you’ll do
- Call and email franchise dealerships to reach service managers, fixed operations directors, GMs, and dealer principals.
- Ask about missed calls, after-hours coverage, appointment scheduling, and the workload on their service team.
- Explain where LiquidAuto can help and book a 20-minute introductory call with our founder.
- Follow up with interested contacts, confirm meetings, and help reduce no-shows.
- Keep contacts, outreach activity, meeting details, and useful context up to date in our CRM.
- Share what you’re hearing from dealerships so we can improve our outreach.
What counts as a qualified meeting
- The attendee is a service manager, fixed operations director, GM, or dealer principal at a franchise dealership.
- They understand the purpose of the call and attend the scheduled meeting with our founder.
- Meeting compensation is paid for qualified meetings held, not meetings booked or no-shows.
Compensation
- $75–150 per qualified meeting held.
- Plus 10% of first-year contract value when a meeting you booked results in a closed deal.
- Paid monthly, with no cap on earnings.
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role with performance-based compensation, not an hourly wage or base salary.
Who tends to do well here
- You have experience in a dealership BDC, service drive, automotive sales, or selling products or services to dealerships.
- You understand how a service department works and can speak comfortably with dealership managers.
- You’re comfortable with outbound calls, gatekeepers, follow-up, and hearing “no.”
- You write clear emails, keep reliable CRM notes, and manage your own follow-through.
- You can work independently and arrange outreach during the business hours of the dealerships you’re contacting.
Prior automotive experience is especially valuable. You don’t need to be an AI expert; you do need to understand dealership conversations and be willing to pick up the phone.
Work arrangement
Fully remote with a flexible schedule. Part-time applicants are welcome. You’ll work directly with our founder.
