Job Description
About us:
We’re building infrastructure for adaptive software: software that reshapes itself around whoever’s using it. The world is built on software that converges, one version for everyone. Our vision is for a world built on software that adapts and diverges, the best version for anyone. Our first product, Differ, treats software as content. People make, play and remix small apps the way they make text posts, videos, data viz or memes. We’re still discovering what that looks like, and you’d help us find out by building it.
You:
Think by making. Someone describes a half-formed idea, and within hours you have a rough sketch, plus three variations nobody asked for. You make a lot, you’re hard on the details, but keep the 1% that’s actually good.
What you’ll do:
- Help build the core of Differ: the player, the feed, the tools for making and posting, and our mascot Diffy.
- Set the visual language, aesthetic and direction of the product.
- Run your own experiments on the platform.
- Own things end to end, designing it, building it and shipping it.
You probably:
- Have a good grasp of UX.
- Have made unusual, fun things just because you wanted to.
- Have a strong, opinionated taste.
- Would rather try ten versions than debate one.
Bonus:
- Have shipped real software as an engineer, including before the AI era.
- Shaders, three.js, React Three Fiber or Blender.
- Sharing your work in public (writing, talks, organizing).
Probably not for you if:
- You need a finished spec before you start.
- You want to own one narrow slice.
- You want remote work.
- You think AI is overhyped and don’t want to build with it.
- You want a comfy life, not intensity and obsession.
What you get
- Salary & founding equity.
- 20% innovation time, and you own what you build in it.
- A tiny team: Noam, Iris and Jules.
How to apply
Send one thing you made (a link, repo or video) and a few lines on what you’d change about it now, to [email protected]. No CV or cover letter. Optional: links to where you share your work, like X, Instagram, GitHub, your site or anything else.
