Job Description As a Senior Project Manager within AECOM’s London-based Security & Resilience project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing secure built-environment and construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring their successful delivery while continuing to develop your specialised knowledge.

Your role will involve overseeing significant phases of projects, guiding junior team members, and fostering client and consultant relationships. Additionally, you will support business development activities and contribute to AECOM’s team and organisational growth.

You will join our London Security & Resilience Project Management team, which forms a key part of our Central and Local Government market sector. You will be working in secure environments with a range of government departments at the heart of national security. You will have, or be prepared to achieve, security clearance up to Developed Vetting.

We are looking for someone who brings energy and insight, ideally with consultancy experience or a background working within a Government client organisation.

Depending on the specific requirements of each project, the role may require you to be based on site for part of the week, and you will need to be prepared to travel to project locations across the UK and internationally.

Lead and Deliver: Drive project delivery on our multi-disciplinary commissions to meet time, budget and quality requirements, while fostering collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors and team members.

Examples of duties include:

• Lead the delivery of project management team outputs
• Ensure the project team have the appropriate level of security clearance for the project
• Implement a security management plan and ensure compliance of the project team
• Lead internal AECOM project team meetings and external client team meetings
• Co‑ordinate, review and ensure sign‑off deliverables
• Lead the management of multi-disciplinary design teams
• Lead the management of tender documents, appraisals and negotiations
• Lead the formulation and management of construction contracts
• Provide financial oversight, resource management, strategic guidance, audit and review

• Be the main interface with AECOM clients on specified projects

Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and support junior members of our team of 45 are in their career development, contribute to talent development initiatives and champion a positive, high-performance team culture.

• Provide effective support, supervision and motivation of Project Managers and junior staff
• Ensure staff have current and relevant training
• Provide leadership within the project management business
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the Security & Resilience team
• Active involvement in recruitment and retention activities
• Ensure you complete all relevant training
