Sr. Staff Security Software Engineer - Agentic Security Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Staff Security Software Engineer - Agentic Security Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will shape the architecture and engineering standards for a shared security AI platform that supports sensitive and high-risk workflows. You will partner across engineering organizations to establish reusable security patterns, strengthen reliability and observability, and raise the technical bar for secure AI deployment.

The position combines deep platform engineering with AI/ML security expertise, requiring both hands-on technical judgment and the ability to influence broad cross-functional alignment on complex architecture decisions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $228,600 – $314,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture for the shared Security AI platform
• Establish reusable patterns for security measures such as identity and access control
• Set engineering standards for reliability and observability in production
• Lead the design of production-grade capabilities for security personas
• Define metrics for measuring platform success and safety
• Drive technical solutions for high-risk workflows involving sensitive data
• Mentor engineers on platform architecture and AI security engineering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or security platform architecture at a major tech company
• Fluency in Python and modern cloud-native systems architecture, including Kubernetes and distributed systems
• Proven ability to align multiple organizations on complex technical strategies
• Deep expertise in AI/ML security and secure deployment of AI systems
• Experience designing platform guardrails for sensitive workflows
• Strong technical communication skills for diverse audiences
• Track record of raising the technical bar through mentorship and design reviews
