Job Description
Join MOSL – A Growing International Energy Organisation Established by the Libyan National Oil Corporation
Murzuq Oil Services Limited (MOSL) is a growing UK-incorporated energy services company established by the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC). The NOC Group holds approximately 48 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, representing the largest oil reserves in Africa and placing it amongst the world’s top ten reserve holders. Building upon this strong foundation, MOSL supports operators, energy companies and strategic partners through the provision of technical consultancy, operational support, engineering services, project delivery, commercial advisory and specialist workforce solutions across international energy markets.
As part of its continued growth strategy, MOSL is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Manager to lead its finance function and provide financial oversight across domestic and international business activities.
This is a senior finance leadership appointment requiring substantial post-qualification experience within a complex commercial environment. Significant preference will be given to candidates with experience gained within oil and gas, energy, engineering, consultancy, infrastructure, professional services, project-led organisations, National Oil Companies or affiliated group structures.
Candidates must possess a proven, unrestricted and unsponsored right to work in the United Kingdom. MOSL is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position either now or in the future. Applications from candidates requiring sponsorship will not be considered.
MOSL offers a highly competitive remuneration package including a company pension scheme, private medical insurance, performance-related bonus opportunities and a wider benefits and reward framework.
The role will lead and develop the Finance Team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Assistant Accountants and the Management Accountant.
Job Overview
MOSL requires a commercially focused and technically strong Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function and provide financial oversight across the Company’s domestic operations, contracts and international business activities. MOSL operates within a wider group environment and works closely with sister and affiliated companies associated with the National Oil Corporation.
The role combines financial control, statutory and management reporting, business partnering, commercial support, taxation, treasury management, audit coordination and group-company financial oversight. The successful individual will possess the judgement, technical credibility and leadership capability necessary to operate effectively within a multi-entity, cross-border business environment.
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting senior leadership by delivering financial insight, ensuring strong governance, maintaining effective controls, managing domestic and international tax matters and supporting commercial and contractual decision-making across the business.
