We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join an established in-house tax function. The role will have primary responsibility for managing the tax compliance and reporting requirements of the business, while supporting the wider tax team across tax governance, advisory matters and business-led projects.

This would suit someone looking to take greater ownership within an in-house environment and develop broader exposure beyond compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and review of corporate tax returns, tax computations and associated filings.
  • Oversee tax compliance processes across the group, ensuring filing and payment deadlines are met.
  • Manage tax provisioning and reporting requirements as part of the year-end and interim reporting cycles.
  • Maintain appropriate tax controls, documentation and governance processes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their potential impact on the business.
  • Support the business with tax-related queries and provide practical guidance to finance and other internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal and other teams to ensure tax considerations are appropriately reflected in business activities.
  • Coordinate with external advisers and tax authorities where required.
  • Support tax audits, enquiries and other interactions with the relevant tax authorities.
  • Assist with wider tax projects, including restructuring, transactions, process improvements and systems initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate existing tax compliance and reporting processes.
  • Support senior members of the tax team on ad hoc advisory and strategic tax matters.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong corporate tax compliance and reporting experience gained within an in-house tax team, professional services firm, or a combination of both.
  • Good technical knowledge of UK corporate taxation.
  • Experience preparing and/or reviewing corporate tax returns and tax provisions.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Commercial mindset with an interest in developing broader tax advisory experience.
