The properties are diverse, spanning period mansion blocks to modern purpose built rental buildings, single houses and an entire urban village.
The Role
Reporting directly to an Investment Director, this individual will develop their existing asset management skills across a diverse portfolio, with exposure to the full life lifecycle in living sector investment. In an asset management focused position, responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in defining the asset management strategy for assets across the portfolio.
- Responsible for delivering property level annual business plans.
- Providing client leadership to management partners.
- Valuation and performance analysis of income and expenditure.
- Executing asset management initiatives including refresh works, capex programmes, new lettings, rent reviews and resident engagement
- Providing analytical support to the Heads and Directors for underwriting investment proposals and potential new investment opportunities.
The Candidate
Dorrington are looking for a smart, curious and self-motivated candidate who is experienced in delivering excellent asset management, with the ideal candidate having the following:
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Most likely 5 – 10 years experience in real estate- including asset management- but candidates with under 5 years experience will be considered (this will depend on how much of the experience to date is directly relevant to this position)
- Ideally demonstrable client-side living sector experience, however candidates from other sectors who can demonstrate a genuine desire and enthusiasm to work in the living sector at Dorrington will be considered.
- Ability to balance the big picture with attention to detail
- A proactive approach with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn
- A clear sense of ownership, with the confidence to manage competing priorities independently
This person will be part of a small, close-knit team that genuinely values collaboration and curiosity, providing real scope for career progression within a team that is growing and evolving.
Remuneration
The salary will be dependent on prior experience. In additional there is a competitive benefits package and an annual discretionary bonus.
