Job Description
Referment is working with a specialist media and events business serving the global export, commodities and trade finance markets, which publishes market news, research and data intelligence alongside a portfolio of regional conferences held across the world. This is a London-based role inside its events and content team, reporting to the Head of Production.
The Role You will manage a portfolio of regional export finance events, researching the latest industry trends and turning that research into content-led agendas that challenge and engage the market. You will recruit a range of diverse, interesting speakers, and deliver high-quality content on-site at each event.
- Own the agenda for each event from research through to delivery: timely agenda writing, high-quality speaker recruitment and continual improvement.
- Oversee the sales, marketing and logistics teams delivering each event during weekly meetings, keeping event quality as your top priority while meeting stakeholder expectations.
- Engage year-round with the membership community by producing non-event content such as interviews, podcasts and journalism based on your own research and interests.
- Establish, maintain and leverage relationships with key professionals in the commodities finance industry via phone, video and in-person meetings.
- Help promote products across the wider group, working with sales and data teams to identify new commercial prospects, and take part in production strategy days.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years’ experience producing physical events, with strong research skills and excellent written and spoken communication.
- An enthusiastic team player keen to lead an event team in delivering products from start to finish.
- Naturally curious, happy to jump into a new industry and learn by speaking with professionals and in-house experts.
- Open and honest, willing to talk through challenges and successes with your team, and ambitious about expanding your skillset across sales, editorial, customer success and membership.
- A commitment to learning about export finance is essential.
Desirable
- Having delivered international events with audiences of over 500.
- An interest in financial markets.
This could suit an experienced event content or programme producer from a B2B conference business who wants to build genuine expertise in a specialist finance niche and contribute beyond the event calendar. The role is hybrid with weekly hours of 37.5.
