Job Description

Overal Here is what I generated for the job posting: About the role

Help shape how customers experience our stores. We’re looking for a Visual Merchandising Floor Planning Lead to turn brand strategy and business priorities into thoughtful, customer-focused store layouts. You’ll lead the development and ongoing improvement of prototype floor plans, helping create compelling retail environments that support sales and strengthen the brand experience.

In this role, you’ll combine space-planning expertise with analytical thinking. You’ll organize stores into meaningful floor plan clusters, evaluate execution through regular audits, and analyze SKU performance by fixture and wall to identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll partner closely with Retail Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail Evolution, store operations, and analytics teams to bring plans to life.

What you’ll do

  • Lead prototype floor plan development. Create and refine layouts that reflect brand strategy, customer traffic patterns, and sales objectives. Guide implementation across relevant store formats and clusters.
  • Develop store clusters. Analyze store profiles and group locations by shared characteristics to tailor floor plans to market needs and inventory capacity.
  • Audit and improve floor plan execution. Conduct regular reviews across store clusters, assess compliance with visual merchandising standards, and identify opportunities to improve layouts and execution quality.
  • Use performance data to inform placement. Analyze SKU performance by fixture and wall, using sales, sell-through, and inventory-turn insights to recommend improvements to product placement and space allocation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional implementation. Partner with Retail Marketing, VM partners, Retail Evolution, store operations, and analytics teams to implement changes, gather feedback, and support consistent execution.
  • Improve planning tools and processes. Stay current with merchandising trends and technologies. Recommend enhancements to planogram processes, tools, and templates that make planning and store execution more efficient.
  • Deliver initiatives on schedule. Support timely floor sets and prototype adoption, with clear communication and effective collaboration across store teams and business partners.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in retail floor planning, space planning, visual merchandising, or a closely related discipline.
  • Ability to translate brand and merchandising priorities into clear, practical floor plans.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret product performance and recommend changes to layouts or placement.
  • Experience with floor planning or planogram tools and an understanding of how stores implement merchandising direction.
  • Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners, incorporate feedback, and solve execution challenges.

How success will be measured

  • Adoption and execution: Stores implement prototype floor plans within agreed timelines, and floor plan audits show stronger compliance with visual standards.
  • Merchandise performance: Prioritized fixture and wall placements contribute to improvements in SKU sales, sell-through, and inventory turns.
  • Cluster effectiveness: Tailored floor plans support stronger sales and customer satisfaction within store clusters.
  • Delivery and partnership: Floor sets and initiatives finish on schedule, and store teams and cross-functional partners provide positive feedback on planning support and communication

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
