Shop Network Development Lead

About Us Sell My Rig helps buyers purchase commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment with confidence. A big part of that is our nationwide pre-purchase inspection service. When a customer books an inspection, we line up a trusted local mechanic or repair shop to inspect the unit, often the same day or the next, anywhere in the country. The Role We’re hiring someone to come in, build our nationwide network of repair shops and mobile mechanics, and lead it. This is a ground-floor role: you’ll shape how the network is built, recruit the shops, use the network to get fast bids and schedule inspections, and grow into owning the whole operation. As the network grows, so does your role, including the chance to build and lead a team. What You’ll Do - Build our network from the ground up by finding and recruiting repair facilities, mobile mechanics, and inspectors across the US - Reach out to shops in the network to get bids quickly, compare them, and negotiate rates - Choose the best shop for each job and schedule inspections, often for the same day or next day - Coordinate between customers, sellers, and shops to keep every job on track - Build lasting relationships so shops want to keep working with us - Set up the systems, processes, and shop database that make the network run smoothly - Track turnaround, cost, and quality, and keep finding ways to improve them - Lead the network long term, including hiring and training others as we grow Who You Are - You have experience with scheduling, dispatch, or coordination work - You’ve worked around repair shops, heavy equipment, trucking, fleet, or equipment dealers, in the office or in the field - You don’t need this exact experience. We care more about what you’ve done: scheduling, coordinating jobs, working with shops or field crews - You want to build something and own it, not just follow a playbook - You stay calm and organized when jobs need to happen fast - You enjoy talking to people and building relationships over the phone and by email - You’re a self-starter and a learner who figures things out Nice to Have - Knowledge of trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment - Experience getting quotes or bids from vendors - Experience leading people or building a process from scratch - Comfort with spreadsheets, CRMs, or scheduling tools Why Join Us - Build and lead a key part of the business from day one - Work remotely or from our Fresno office - Pay: $20 to $23 per hour, plus a bonus tied to jobs scheduled and network growth - Real growth path into a leadership role as the network expands To apply, send your resume and a few sentences about something you built or organized from scratch, or a time you coordinated work on a tight deadline.
