About the Opportunity

Paro is seeking experienced Computational Biologists and Bioinformatics professionals for a remote, project-based opportunity supporting the development and evaluation of advanced AI models.

You’ll apply your scientific expertise to assess how AI systems handle complex biological data analysis, including differential expression, variant interpretation, single-cell workflows, multiomics integration, and statistical genetics.

This is not a traditional laboratory or research position. Instead, you’ll leverage your real-world experience to design challenging scientific scenarios, evaluate AI-generated analyses, and help improve the accuracy and reliability of AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design realistic, technically challenging computational biology tasks based on professional research and analytical workflows.
• Develop scenarios involving RNA sequencing, variant prioritization, batch effect analysis, pipeline auditing, and related scientific applications.
• Evaluate AI-generated reports, analytical outputs, figures, and notebooks for scientific accuracy and completeness.
• Compare AI-generated responses and identify errors in methodology, statistical analysis, interpretation, and reproducibility.
• Develop detailed evaluation rubrics outlining the requirements for scientifically sound analyses.
• Identify issues such as incorrect normalization, statistical errors, overlooked confounding variables, inaccurate annotations, and unsupported conclusions.
• Review and refine tasks developed by other scientific experts.
• Provide clear, evidence-based written feedback to improve AI perform

Pay: $40.00 - $125.00 per hour
