Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Telemedicine Screenings

Position Overview

Wellness MD Group is seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants licensed in multiple states to conduct telemedicine screenings for patients seeking medical spa and wellness services.

Providers will review patient histories, assess eligibility for requested services, identify contraindications, and document clinical recommendations. Screenings may be conducted by video, telephone, or asynchronous review, as appropriate for the patient’s location, service, and established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct telemedicine screenings and good faith examinations, where applicable, before patients receive designated services.
• Review medical histories, medications, allergies, symptoms, and relevant records.
• Determine whether patients are appropriate candidates for requested services using independent clinical judgment.
• Identify contraindications, precautions, and situations requiring additional evaluation or physician consultation.
• Approve, defer, or decline clinical clearance and issue orders when appropriate and within authorized scope.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in the designated electronic medical record.
• Communicate screening outcomes and relevant precautions to the treating clinical team.
• Respond to clinical follow-up questions within agreed coverage hours.
• Follow established clinical protocols, privacy standards, and applicable telemedicine and prescribing requirements.
• Collaborate with supervising or collaborating physicians when required.
• Maintain active licenses, certifications, and credentialing records for assigned states.
• Support timely screening coverage and communicate availability or scheduling changes promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licenses in multiple states.
• Current national certification appropriate to the provider’s role.
• Experience conducting patient assessments and making independent clinical decisions within authorized scope.
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to recognize when remote screening is insufficient and arrange appropriate escalation.
• Proficiency with telemedicine platforms and electronic medical records.
• Access to reliable internet and a private, secure workspace.
• Ability to maintain professional liability coverage appropriate to assigned services, with coverage arrangements confirmed before starting.
• Must hold active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licenses in multiple states, with priority given to candidates licensed in California, New York, Texas, New Jersey, and Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure in a broad range of states.
• Previous telemedicine or remote screening experience.
• Experience in medical aesthetics, wellness, primary care, urgent care, or related services.
• Familiarity with screening for aesthetic treatments, IV therapy, and other wellness services.
• Availability during evenings, weekends, or other periods of increased demand.

Schedule & Coverage Expectations

Providers will commit to agreed coverage windows and turnaround expectations. Patient assignments will be based on active state licensure, clinical qualifications, and authorization to provide the requested service. Providers must be available to complete any required live patient evaluation during their assigned coverage.

Pay: $80.00 - $120.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 35.0 per week
