- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), RESTful APIs, web services, and distributed systems design principles.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Rackspace Cloud, or Citrix environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, or Ruby for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for scalable deployment solutions.
- Knowledge of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of network security protocols including VPNs and Virtual Private Networks; experience with system hardening practices is a plus.
- Background in computer science or related fields with a focus on cloud development, software engineering principles, or DevOps methodologies.
