Job Description

Pristine Forests is a premium self-care and daily essentials brand that blends slow, sustainable beauty with thoughtful storytelling, clean formulations, and a deep respect for nature. We pair our commitment to green, clean products with a tech-forward, design-led approach. We deliver eco-friendly, aesthetic, indulgent self-care to conscious consumers.

About the Job

You’ll be responsible for managing our design identity and creative assets across social media, website, ad campaigns, packaging, and other brand communications. You’ll also manage the day-to-day design workflow: assigning work, setting priorities and deadlines, reviewing output, and mentoring the design team.

Because we’re a startup, the role is quite broad. One day might involve conceptualizing a campaign, another might mean working on a website asset, reviewing an intern’s design, planning a photoshoot, or getting down to the brass tacks in Photoshop. We’re looking for someone who enjoys that variety rather than someone who wants a narrowly defined job description.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide and support the design team by assigning work, setting clear timelines, reviewing their work, and offering guidance and feedback.
  • Translate content calendars and marketing priorities into clear design briefs, workflows, and deliverables.
  • Develop creative direction for social media, campaigns, paid advertising, launches, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Design and oversee creative assets across digital, social, web, packaging, print, and video.
  • Establish and maintain visual consistency across typography, layouts, colour, iconography, photography, illustration, and overall brand expression.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop new content formats, creative concepts, and visual systems.
  • Help plan and direct in-house photoshoots and content creation - including references, moodboards, shot lists, styling, compositions, and visual direction.
  • Support website design and creative assets, working with the broader team to ensure a cohesive digital experience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping quality, timelines, and priorities on track.
  • Build and maintain design processes and systems that make the team more efficient as we grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of professional design experience

, ideally in a brand, agency, D2C, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer-focused environment.

  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud

, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.

  • Proficiency in Figma, Canva

, and other contemporary design tools.

  • Solid experience across graphic design, social media, video editing, packaging, basic illustration, and UI/UX

    .

  • A strong understanding of typography, composition, colour, hierarchy, visual systems, and brand identity

    .

  • The ability to take a brief from concept to execution, while also being comfortable giving direction to others.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high bar for visual quality.
  • Someone who is proactive, resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to take ownership rather than wait for instructions.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates range, strong visual thinking, and thoughtful execution

    .

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with AI-based design tools for image generation and enhancement
  • Experience in video editing (DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or equivalent)
  • Comfortable with Magnifik, Google Flow, and/or Ceros
  • Prior experience in planning/directing/executing photoshoots, art direction, styling, photography

  • Figma
  • Canva
  • davinci-resolve
  • imovie
