Syndicate Underwriting Oversight / Performance Manager

A Lloyd’s managing agency is looking for a Syndicate Underwriting Oversight/Performance Manager to join them in London.

Working closely with senior underwriting leadership, Active Underwriters and underwriting management teams, you’ll play a key role in monitoring performance against business plans, reviewing underwriting MI and ensuring appropriate governance and controls are maintained.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Monitoring syndicate performance against agreed business plans
• Reviewing underwriting MI and identifying deviations from plan
• Supporting corrective action and performance improvement strategies
• Leading the SBF process
• Supporting underwriting committees and senior governance forums
• Managing mid-year business plan changes
• Working closely with underwriting controls and governance teams

We’re looking for someone with strong Lloyd’s market experience and a background across underwriting, underwriting management or performance oversight. A good understanding of underwriting governance, controls, business planning and management information will be important, alongside strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
