The Role

The finance department supports the business in its issuing and processing of all invoices, payments in and out of the business, collections in line with contracted terms. The role is to support both our Collections Team and Purchase Ledger department with a wide variety of duties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Raising customer credit notes
• Cash postings & allocations
• Processing refunds
• Processing incoming emails in line with agreed timescales
• Supporting internal Collection Specialists
• Reviewing supplier statements
• Analysing expert accounts to ensure compliance
• Reviewing company accruals and prepayments
• Other ad-hoc work

Personal Specification

The ideal candidate will be someone who is assertive, enthusiastic, confident and able to demonstrate good communication and have analytical skills. The candidate will be someone with relevant finance experience and be able to work well in a team as well as during individual tasks.

In addition to these skills the candidate will require the following

• Demonstrate advanced excel skills
• An analytical mind with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, verbally and in writing
• An eagerness to learn and develop by taking on new challenges
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative, as well as an enthusiastic team player
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• MS office skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)

• Salary £25.5k pa depending on experience
• Monday – Friday 37.5hrs
• 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
