Role Description The Senior Technical Writer role at Superfan.ng is a full-time, remote position responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for our products and internal processes. Day-to-day tasks include planning, writing, and maintaining technical documentation such as user guides, API references, in-app help content, and developer resources. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, design, and content teams to understand features and workflows, translating complex technical concepts into accessible language. The Senior Technical Writer will establish documentation standards, develop templates, and maintain a documentation repository to ensure consistency and quality. This role may also contribute to knowledge base articles, training materials, and onboarding documents for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in technical communication and technical writing, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and manuals for software products or digital platforms.
• Proficiency in structuring documentation sets, including user guides, reference materials, and online help systems.
• Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Markdown, HTML, Confluence, Notion, Git-based workflows, or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Proven experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and design teams in a remote environment.
• Background in edtech, language learning, or cultural content is an advantage, as is familiarity with African languages or cultures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving startup setting.
