Software Developer

Doorify MLS is hiring a Software Developer to build and maintain the software that powers our MLS ecosystem. This role reports to the VP of Engineering and works closely with Product Owners, the Systems Architect and the wider Tech Team.

This is a hands-on development role for someone with 4 to 6 years of experience who wants to keep growing. You will ship features across the full stack on AWS, take ownership of work within an agile team, and use modern development practices as part of your daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modern software solutions that support Doorify’s strategic goals
• Build and enhance web applications using PHP, Laravel and Vue on Linux-based AWS infrastructure
• Write and optimize queries and data models across both relational and non-relational databases
• Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify requirements, estimate work and determine project feasibility.
• Integrate software components and third-party services into fully functional systems
• Write automated tests and contribute to quality assurance, monitoring and verification plans
• Work with the Systems Architect and Tech Team to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems, including legacy Microsoft-stack applications
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, reviewing and understanding all generated code before it ships
• Follow secure coding practices and help keep software patched and up to date
• Participate in after-hours maintenance or on-call monitoring of systems as needed
• Participate fully in the team’s scrum ceremonies: daily standups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
• Share what you learn with teammates and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to the team

Requirements and skills

• 4 to 6 years of professional software development experience
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience monitoring and managing a cloud environment (AWS preferred; Azure or Google Cloud experience translates well)
• Working knowledge of PHP, Laravel and Linux, or strong experience in a comparable backend language and framework with the drive to learn ours quickly
• Experience with a modern JavaScript front-end framework, we use Vue
• Solid SQL skills and working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB and SQL Server
• Experience with automated testing and test-driven development
• Proficiency with standard engineering tools, including Git, issue tracking and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to document requirements, specifications and technical decisions clearly
• Experience working on an agile or Scrum team

Preferred qualifications

• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and AI coding assistants, such as Claude
• Experience with .NET and React
• AWS certifications (Azure or other cloud certifications are also valued)
• Experience with database design and architecture
• Experience in real estate technology, MLS data or data distribution

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
