Job Description
About OmniNode
OmniNode lets AI coding agents like Claude Code hand work off to the right model for the job. Routine tasks go to cheaper or local models, a quality gate checks every answer, and developers see exactly which model answered and what it cost. We’re an early-stage team building in the open, and our first testers (the Founding Nodes) are running delegations right now.
The role
You’ll be the public face of OmniNode to developers. That means you have to actually use the product. You’ll install it, delegate real tasks, hit the rough edges before anyone else does, and explain it better than we can. You’ll build the community around our open source framework from early days to a place developers want to contribute.
This isn’t a scheduling-posts job. It’s half builder, half community lead.
What you’ll do
- Own our developer community across GitHub, Discord, Reddit, X and LinkedIn
- Run the Founding Nodes tester program: onboard testers, get them unstuck, and turn their feedback into tickets the engineering team can act on
- Build demos, tutorials, sample projects and short videos that show OmniNode doing real work
- Show up where developers already talk about AI agents, Claude Code, local models and inference costs, and be useful there
- Grow contributors, not just followers. Write good first issues, review community PRs with engineering, and make contributing easy
- Plan and execute launches with the founders
- Track what matters: active users, retained testers, contributors, stars, and where signups come from
What you bring
- A proven track record of growing a developer community around an open source project. Show us the numbers and the links.
- Real coding experience. You’re comfortable in a terminal, with git, and in Python or TypeScript. You can read a PR, write a working example, and debug a setup script.
- You use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar) in your own work
- Clear, plain writing that developers trust. No hype or AI slop!!!
- A public presence developers already know: posts, talks, repos or threads
- We need to see Reddit Handle and Github Handle in application
- Comfort with ambiguity and owning outcomes on a small team
Bonus
- Experience on the GTM, DevRel or community team at a developer-focused AI startup
- Experience with local models (Ollama, LM Studio) or LLM routing and cost tooling
- You’ve run a Discord or forum with real daily activity
How to apply
Send three things:
- A link to a community or open source project you grew, with the before and after numbers
- Your Reddit, and GitHub profiles
Finalists will install OmniNode and record a short walkthrough of their first delegation. If the product confuses you, tell us where. That’s part of the job. https://omninode.ai/signup
