Job Description
Web Designer & Social Media Executive (Property)
Avalon Assets Management Limited
Fitzrovia, London W1T | On-site or Hybrid | Part-time or Full-time | Permanent
£13 – £15 per hour
About Us
Avalon Assets Management Limited is a London property company specialising in residential lettings, short lettings and property management across central and west London. We let, manage and maintain homes, keeping everything from marketing and tenancies to repairs and compliance running smoothly.
We’re now building our digital presence from the ground up, and we’re looking for a creative web designer with a passion for property to lead it.
The Role
This is a chance to shape a property brand’s entire online presence. You’ll design and build our new website, create property listing pages and a direct booking site for our short lets, develop a tenant portal, and run our social media. You’ll choose the platforms and tools you build with, and you’ll report directly to the Director, so your ideas will be heard and put into action quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Website & property listings
- Design and build a new company website for avalonassets.co.uk, choosing the platform and tools best suited to the business
- Create property listing pages that show off each home: photo galleries, floor plans, virtual tours, EPC ratings, key features and local area information
- Design clear enquiry and viewing request journeys for prospective tenants
- Optimise the site for local SEO so our properties and services rank in our London areas
- Make sure everything is mobile-first, fast and accessible, as most property searches happen on phones
Short let booking site
- Design and build a direct booking website for our short let properties, including availability calendars, pricing, booking and payment
- Present short let properties in a way that competes with Airbnb and Booking.com listings and encourages direct bookings
- Where needed, connect the booking site with channel managers or listing platforms
Tenant portal
- Design and build an online portal where tenants can report repairs, upload photos, access documents and contact us
- Keep the portal simple and user-friendly for tenants of all ages and technical abilities
- Handle tenant data securely and in line with GDPR
Social media & marketing
- Manage our Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook accounts
- Create content showcasing available properties, short let stays, property tips, London area highlights and company news
- Produce graphics, reels, property walkthrough videos and promotional posts
- Plan and schedule a regular content calendar and grow our following
- Run marketing campaigns for new lettings and short let availability
- Track website and social media performance and use the results to improve enquiries and bookings
About You
Essential
- A portfolio of websites you have designed or built
- Strong design skills with tools such as Figma, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience building websites on a CMS or website platform of your choice
- Confident creating content for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook
- Good eye for photography and visual presentation
- Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Desirable
- Knowledge or experience of the property industry, particularly lettings or property management
- Understanding of short let marketing and how to make properties stand out on platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com
- Experience building booking systems, client portals or property listing sites
- Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
- Basic video editing skills for reels and property walkthroughs
We welcome applications from all experience levels, from graduates and junior designers to experienced professionals. If you have the creativity and drive, we want to hear from you.
