Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Golang Developer with 5–8 years of backend development experience to design and build scalable, high-performance distributed systems.

In this role, you will own critical backend services from design through production, collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive engineering excellence. You should have strong experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services and distributed applications using Golang.
• Build robust REST APIs, gRPC services, and microservices following clean architecture principles.
• Design and implement event-driven systems using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Develop highly concurrent applications leveraging Golang’s goroutines and channels.
• Optimize application performance, latency, memory utilization, and throughput for production workloads.
• Design efficient database schemas and write optimized queries for SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Review code, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Build secure, reliable, observable, and resilient services with proper logging, monitoring, and error handling.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root cause analysis.
• Continuously improve development processes, coding standards, and CI/CD practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of software development experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on Golang development.
• Strong experience building production-grade backend systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Golang, including concurrency patterns, goroutines, channels, interfaces, and memory management.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs, gRPC, and Microservices.
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching and performance optimization.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Good understanding of ORM frameworks such as GORM or MGM.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of Git and modern software development practices.

Good to Have

• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to retail, e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain platforms.
