Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Java Solution Architect to lead enterprise application modernization, cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps implementation across mission-critical platforms.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong end-to-end architectural ownership across Java/Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, enterprise integration, security, and production operations.

Required Technical Skills

• Java & Spring: Java 8–21, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, JVM performance tuning, concurrency, and application modernization.
• AWS Cloud: EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, ALB, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
• Infrastructure as Code: Advanced Terraform, reusable modules, remote state, drift management, infrastructure governance, and policy-as-code.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, automated deployments, blue-green/canary releases, and rollback.
• Enterprise Integration: Kafka/MSK, REST, SOAP, messaging, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture.
• Security & Compliance: DevSecOps, IAM, encryption, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and healthcare PHI/HIPAA controls.
• Production Engineering: JVM troubleshooting, distributed tracing, observability, high availability, disaster recovery, resilience, and AWS cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and modernize enterprise Java/Spring Boot applications on AWS.
• Lead Java 8-to-21 modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Establish architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices.
• Design secure, scalable AWS/EKS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines with integrated security and quality gates.
• Own architecture decisions involving APIs, Kafka, databases, and distributed systems.
• Troubleshoot complex JVM, Kubernetes, and cloud production issues.
• Define resilience, observability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership, security, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
