Principal Engineer (Ecommerce, AEM, AI, React)-W2 Role

Job Summary (Principal Engineer - Ecommerce, AEM, AI, React)

• Will work remotely during contract period, then relocate to Miami, FL (4 days onsite per week) upon conversion to full-time.
• Serve as the technical visionary and senior individual contributor for the company s digital commerce platform architecture and long-term technology roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership and influence across all engineering teams, technology stacks, and customer-facing digital touchpoints.
• Lead the design and implementation of AI tooling and AI-assisted development practices, with a strong preference for experience with Claude and similar AI technologies.
• Architect and guide solutions for both frontend (React, Next.js, micro-frontends, SPAs) and backend (Node.js/Java APIs, GraphQL, AWS) systems.
• Drive the integration and optimization of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including both headful and headless CMS patterns, component authoring, and interoperability.
• Build and scale B2C ecommerce and mobile/app platforms, leveraging cloud-native infrastructure.
• Evaluate, standardize, and embed AI tools and agentic AI solutions (e.g., autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines) into the development lifecycle.
• Set engineering standards, best practices, and ensure high-velocity, quality-driven, AI-augmented engineering processes.
• Act as a hands-on technical expert; not a people manager, but a leader by example and influence.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and modern digital commerce experiences.
• Requires 10+ years of software engineering experience with proven expertise in technical leadership roles spanning frontend and backend disciplines.
• Must have experience with cloud (AWS), CMS (AEM or similar), and production-grade AI solutions.
