Job Title: Scala Developer

Clearance Required: SC

Duration: 6 months

Location: Telford - remote

Job Description:

  • Scala Developer required to support Government Gateway work and Fraud Prevention Centre work. This is an exciting opportunity to help take on some critical national infrastructure work that is high priority.
  • You will be part of a live services and run team that will deliver work in an agile environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build Microservices: Design, develop, and enhance Scala-based microservices (often utilizing the Play Framework).
  • Agile Delivery Collaborate within multidisciplinary Agile teams. Work with developers, testers, product managers, and other roles in Agile environments.
  • Quality & Testing: Write clean, testable, and efficient code to build front and backend services and APIs.
  • Operations Support and operate production services throughout the full development lifecycle, troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Technical Stac k: Strong commercial experience with Scala and functional programming patterns.
  • Clearance SC security clearance is required to support this work.
