Job Description
• $90–$110 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the contract expertise you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by practicing attorneys. The teams building them need commercial contract lawyers who can work through real commercial agreements, judge how well AI interprets them, write the answer a legal professional would give, and explain exactly where the AI’s reasoning or proposed revisions fall short. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of legal AI. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.
What you’ll do
• Mark up MSAs, NDAs, DPAs and other commercial contracts against a company playbook
• Spot legal risks, set negotiation priorities and define acceptable fallback positions
• Write clear legal analyses that explain the basis for proposed revisions
• Keep interpretations consistent by drawing on experience in technology transactions, contract drafting and negotiation
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $90–$110 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier legal AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most commercial contract attorneys will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping commercial contracting, and the attorneys who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• JD from an accredited law school and a current license to practice in any U.S. jurisdiction
• At least four years of transactional work, either at a law firm or on an in-house legal team
• Experience working on commercial contracts through drafting, review and negotiation; clear legal writing in English; and knowledge of confidentiality provisions, data protection provisions, indemnification and limitation-of-liability terms
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $90–$110 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
