Job Description
• $100–$400 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work at the frontier of AI research, on your own schedule, and get paid for the research judgment you have built over your career.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real researchers. The teams building them need computer science and computational physics researchers who can frame difficult problems, judge whether model-generated work is correct and meaningful, validate claims through proofs, code or reproducible simulations, and explain where the models fall short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI models reasons about technical research. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.
What you’ll do
• Frame foundational open problems and simulation challenges for AI research evaluation
• Judge model-generated research for correctness, novelty and significance against current literature
• Validate proofs and numerical results through proof checks and computational reproduction
• Write concise research memos on partial solutions, model limitations and recurring failure patterns
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $100–$400 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI research tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most computer science and computational physics researchers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping computer science and computational physics, and the researchers who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• 7 to 10 or more years of active research experience in computer science, mathematical physics or computational physics, with strong scholarly contributions and recent publications in leading venues
• Hands-on experience with simulation, numerical analysis, algorithmic implementation or high-performance computing
• Fluent in English
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $100–$400 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
