Job Description
• $45–$90 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the scientific judgment you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real scientists. The teams building them need life sciences researchers who can create difficult, realistic questions, judge how well AI handles them, write the answer an expert would give, and explain exactly where the response falls short. Your judgment helps shape how the next generation of AI handles complex scientific problems. This is that work, done remotely around your current research or job.
What you’ll do
• Create difficult questions in the life sciences that have answers experts can check
• Assess whether AI responses meet the required standard of accuracy, rigor, and scientific depth
• Set the scoring criteria and write expert answers using primary research and established methods
• Examine proposed experiments and computational workflows, then explain gaps in the AI’s scientific reasoning
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $45–$90 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most life sciences researchers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping life sciences research, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• A completed PhD in a life sciences field, including Biology or Molecular Biology; related examples are Genetics, Genomics, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Microbiology, or another field closely related to life sciences
• Hands-on research experience in a laboratory, including academic or institutional work and industry work, plus expert-level judgment across scientific claims and interpretations as well as experimental designs and computational analyses
• Written and spoken English proficiency rated C1 or higher
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $45–$90 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
