Senior Power BI Developer

We’re partnering with an established organization looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to take a leading role in advancing its enterprise business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical expert who enjoys building scalable reporting solutions, influencing architecture decisions, and helping drive the adoption of Microsoft Fabric .

You’ll play a key role in modernizing the company’s reporting environment, establishing development standards, and partnering with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful data-driven insights.

Full time, Fully Remote - most be United States base.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the development and optimization of enterprise Power BI reporting solutions, including advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Help drive the organization’s transition to Microsoft Fabric, contributing to architecture, implementation, and modernization initiatives.
• Design and maintain scalable semantic models, star schemas, and reporting architecture.
• Establish best practices for Power BI governance, security, performance optimization, and development standards.
• Implement Git-based source control and application lifecycle management processes.
• Partner with Data Engineering and business stakeholders to translate complex reporting requirements into scalable solutions.
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor to junior Power BI developers, providing guidance on complex technical challenges.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, data consistency, and overall analytics capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development or business intelligence.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling .
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric , including an understanding of its architecture and capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of semantic models, star schema design, and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Experience with Git-based source control and application lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing reporting governance, security, and performance optimization practices.
• Ability to independently lead technical initiatives and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
• An applicable Microsoft Associate-level certification.

Nice to Have:

• Experience leading Power BI or Microsoft Fabric modernization initiatives.
• Background in BI architecture or technical leadership.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams on enterprise data architecture.
