The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead interior design concepts, space planning, material selection, design development, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will combine creativity with strong technical expertise to deliver practical, elegant, and cost-effective interior solutions for residential, commercial, hospitality, and other construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead interior design concepts, space planning, and design development from initial briefs to project completion.
• Prepare mood boards, material palettes, colour schemes, furniture layouts, and design presentations.
• Develop detailed drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and interior design specifications.
• Select appropriate finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and decorative elements.
• Coordinate interior design requirements with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable UAE building regulations, safety requirements, accessibility standards, and project specifications.
• Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions.
• Conduct design reviews and site inspections to ensure work aligns with approved drawings and design intent.
• Manage design revisions, resolve technical issues, and coordinate design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor design quality, project timelines, budgets, and material procurement requirements.
• Research emerging interior design trends, sustainable materials, and innovative design solutions.
• Present design proposals and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and design team members.
• Maintain organized design documentation and support project handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
• At least 5–8 years of relevant interior design experience, preferably within construction, architecture, or fit-out projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed interior design projects and technical capabilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design software.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, furniture specifications, and construction detailing.
• Strong communication, presentation, coordination, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and project delivery practices is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

• Professional interior design or interior architecture certifications.
• Autodesk, Revit, or other relevant design software certifications.
• LEED or other sustainable design credentials are an advantage.
