Job Description
An excellent opportunity to develop your career with a leading UK law firm
Roxwell Talent is recruiting a Business Development Assistant for a highly regarded UK law firm with an ambitious growth strategy and a friendly, collaborative working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic and capable individual who enjoys working with people, managing varied responsibilities and contributing to the success of a wider team.
Previous business development experience is not required. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a strong administrative background who are looking to take the next step in their career.
You’ll join an established Business Development team, supporting colleagues with a wide range of commercial activities, research, communications and projects.
The role
No two days will be quite the same. You’ll work alongside experienced Business Development professionals, helping them develop client relationships, identify new opportunities and deliver important initiatives across the firm.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Business Development Managers and Executives with day-to-day activities, projects and client initiatives.
- Researching businesses, industries and market developments to help colleagues identify opportunities.
- Preparing and proofreading documents, presentations and written communications.
- Helping organise client events, meetings, networking activities and hospitality.
- Supporting marketing campaigns and internal and external communications.
- Maintaining client records, contact lists and other information within the firm’s CRM system.
- Assisting with legal directory submissions and other business development projects.
- Providing high-quality administrative support and helping the team meet deadlines.
About you
We’re looking for someone who combines strong organisational skills with initiative, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
You don’t need a background in law, marketing or business development. Experience in a professional office environment, together with the right attitude and transferable skills, is what matters most.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in an administrative, office support or similar role.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- The confidence to communicate professionally with colleagues at all levels.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt when priorities change.
- A proactive approach, using your initiative and working independently when needed.
- A genuine interest in learning about business development and building a longer-term career.
You’ll be someone who takes ownership of your responsibilities, enjoys solving problems and can be relied upon to deliver accurate, high-quality work.
What’s on offer?
Our client offers the opportunity to join a successful, growing law firm where you’ll gain valuable exposure to a wide range of business activities.
Benefits include:
