Job Description

Freelance Mendix Developer - Long term - Fully remote

We are looking for a Mendix Developer to join a global technology team responsible for a business-critical approval workflow platform. The platform supports approval processes across multiple regions and business functions, providing a consistent and efficient way to manage requests, governance, and decision-making activities worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain an existing Mendix application used as a global approval workflow solution.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable Mendix solutions.
  • Refactor and optimise existing components to improve application performance, maintainability, and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, defects, and production incidents.
  • Design and implement new workflow functionality, integrations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, and technical teams to deliver new features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
  • Support application releases, testing activities, and deployment processes.

Experience

  • Proven experience developing applications using Mendix.
  • Strong understanding of Mendix low-code development principles and best practices.
  • Experience enhancing and maintaining enterprise-level business applications.
  • Knowledge of workflow-driven applications, approval processes, or business process automation.
  • Experience with integrations using REST APIs, web services, and external systems.
  • Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modelling concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application issues and performing root cause analysis.
