The Role

You’ll lead plan production on land development projects, from survey and base map through final construction documents and record drawings. You’ll work closely with our engineers and project managers, and you’ll help set the drafting standards the rest of the team follows.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed site, grading, drainage, and utility plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Lead plan preparation from survey data and base maps through final CDs and record drawings

• Set up and manage CAD standards, plotting, and printing settings

• Collaborate with engineers and PMs, and suggest design ideas that save cost or time

• Check drawings for accuracy and consistency

• Read and apply local codes and regulations, and stay current on changes

• Support quantity takeoffs and cost estimates

• Visit sites and gather field data when needed

• Mentor and train other designers

What You Bring

• 8+ years of civil design experience, preferably in land development

• Advanced Civil 3D proficiency, including 2D and 3D work

• Strong grasp of civil engineering principles and the ability to interpret local codes

• Ability to work independently and manage your own deadlines

• Attention to detail and strong organization

• Clear communication and a collaborative approach

• Associate degree in a related field preferred

• Familiarity with other design software is a plus
