Title: Software Developer

Location: Altamonte Springs, FL / Orlando

Remote (1-2 days in office per month)

3-month Contract to Hire

Salary: $110k - $110k

Main skills we are looking for: .NET, C#, Visual Basic, Java( preferred ) and SQL.

Location Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in Florida to be considered for this position. Applicants residing outside Florida will not be considered.

Overview

• Reporting to the Manager of Development, the mission of the Software Developer is to design, develop, and maintain software applications that support Company’s business objectives.
• This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to write, test, and maintain code and ensure applications are efficient, secure, and user-friendly. This role analyzes existing systems, recommend improvements, and troubleshoot issues to maintain performance and reliability.
• The Software Developer delivers scalable solutions that enhance operations and provide value to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• This role serves as a knowledgeable and professional resource for customers, vendors, and stakeholders, delivering exceptional service across phone, email, and Chat while upholding Company’s commitment to operational excellence and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the conceptualization and development of new software programs and applications.
• Resolve problems with software products or company software systems.
• Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.
• Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.
• Consistently write, test, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
• Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
• Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary.
• Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as assigned.

Required Skills

• Excellent understanding of coding methods, software development best practices, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages including .NET, C#, Visual Basic, Java( preferred ) and SQL.
• Learning, exploring, and proactively applying AI systems is required (ChatGPT, Copilot).
• Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge with Microsoft products.
• Hands on experience with relational database and operating systems experience.
• Working knowledge of current internet technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and members of cross-functional teams.
• Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies.
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong database skills.
• Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
