Job Description
Freelance Senior Mobile App Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced mobile engineer to take our existing live web platform, and get us launched as a polished iOS + Android mobile app
.
The website, backend and repository are already built. We’re not looking to rebuild the product from scratch
.
We’re looking for someone who can own the mobile implementation and get us from existing web products → live apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Scope includes:
- Build the iOS + Android application, ideally using React Native / Expo or another appropriate cross-platform approach
- Connect the app to our existing backend, APIs and user accounts
- Implement the core mobile user flow and navigation
- Google Sign-In / authentication
- Sign in with Apple / iOS authentication requirements
- Ensure deposits, balances, purchases and applicable redemption/buyback flows work properly
- Deep linking / universal links
- Push notification setup
- Mobile analytics and crash/error tracking
- Apple Developer + Google Play configuration
- Certificates, provisioning, bundle IDs and production signing
- TestFlight / Android internal testing
- Stripe integration
- App Store + Google Play submission
- Handle review feedback/rejections required to get the apps approved and live
- Basic production QA across major iPhone and Android devices
Important:
Experience navigating Apple / Google payment and App Store review policies
is highly preferred.
We’re looking for somebody who has actually shipped consumer apps to both stores before, not someone learning the submission process for the first time.
Existing experience with any of the following is a major plus:
React Native / Expo, Next.js / React, Coinflow, Stripe or other payment SDKs, Apple Pay / Google Pay, OAuth, Sign in with Apple, e-commerce/marketplace apps, gaming etc.
This is intended to be a fast, focused launch project using an already-built product and backend not a ground-up mobile rebuild.
There can be significant additional work after launch for the right person.
