Job Description
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of refrigeration equipment. This is a 6-month remote contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time position upon completion of the contract.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, proficiency in SolidWorks, and experience with mechanical design and product development. Experience working with refrigerators, refrigeration systems, or similar equipment is a bonus.
Day-to-Day
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for refrigeration equipment using SolidWorks.
- Create and modify 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support the development and improvement of refrigerator designs and mechanical systems.
- Collaborate remotely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet functional and production requirements.
- Evaluate existing designs and identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical design challenges and provide engineering solutions.
- Support design revisions, prototyping, and product development activities.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, mechanical design, and engineering drawings.
- Experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience designing refrigerators, refrigeration systems, appliances, or similar mechanical equipment is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
