Job Description

Senior Blazor / .NET Developer

Location/Region: Latin America | 100% Remote

About CodeRoad

CodeRoad provides end-to-end software development services, helping businesses scale with ideal infrastructure solutions. From staff augmentation to dedicated IT teams and general software engineering, our nearshore technology services empower businesses to thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

About the Role

As a Senior Blazor / .NET Developer, you will anchor the design, development, and modernization of high-performance enterprise applications built on the Microsoft stack. You will act as a key technical force—conducting deep code analysis, driving tech stack upgrades, and architecting secure, scalable web applications using C# and Blazor.

This role is critical to transforming legacy infrastructure into modern, production-ready solutions within an Agile/Scrum environment. By establishing robust technical patterns, leveraging AI-assisted development tools, and ensuring high code quality, you will directly influence the architectural integrity and long-term success of our clients’ digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, technical strategy, and hands-on delivery of the modernized SYSTOC application, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Anchor the vendor handoff process, partnering closely with the external modernization team during acceptance testing to rapidly absorb codebase knowledge before final delivery.
  • Design and implement complex frontend and backend features, taking end-to-end technical ownership of the clinical work area and enterprise reporting integration.
  • Optimize database performance, schema design, stored procedures, and index strategies to ensure seamless, low-latency execution across core data workflows.
  • Establish and champion application security best practices, proactively mitigating vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and maintaining dependency health through scheduled upgrades.
  • Collaborate and communicate directly with cross-functional PODs, product stakeholders, and executive leadership, acting as an active voice in architectural design discussions.

Requirements

  • Years of Experience: 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record in technical leadership or senior engineering roles.
  • Core Tech Stack: 2 to 3+ years of full-time hands-on development with Blazor (Server/WebAssembly) and .NET Core / .NET 6+ .
  • Database Expertise: Strong working knowledge of relational database design, schema normalization, indexing strategies, complex queries, and stored procedure optimization (SQL Server preferred).
  • Security & Performance: Solid working exposure to application security (XSS, SQLi mitigation, library upgrades) and performance profiling/troubleshooting.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional ownership mindset, active architectural voice, proactive communication skills, and the ability to guide and mentor team members.
  • Language: Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is mandatory for seamless collaboration with team stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Healthcare Domain Exposure: Prior experience working with healthcare standards (e.g., HIPAA compliance, EHR/EMR systems, clinical workflows).
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, automated deployment pipelines, and containerized environments.
  • Legacy Migration Experience: Understanding of modernized desktop-to-web architectures or prior exposure to VB6/legacy app migrations.
