Overview

Established in 1952, RDO is an independent family business with a long history in kitchens and appliances.

We’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer to join our fantastic team at our award-winning showroom in Reigate, Surrey.

We sell premium and bespoke Beckermann and Stoneham kitchens, as well as designing for other spaces such as bedrooms, home offices and even bathrooms.

You will be supported by an experienced team of in-house colleagues across design, technical order processing, kitchen installation and appliance sales.

You’ll be given a competitive base salary along with a very lucrative, uncapped commission structure based on your gross profit contribution.

The role

You’ll guide customers from their first consultation through design, quotation and ordering, staying involved as their kitchen moves towards installation and completion.

We’re looking for someone who combines creative ability with commercial judgement: a designer who presents confidently and cares about giving their customers an exceptional experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting consultations to understand customers’ requirements, budgets, timescales and design preferences.
• Creating attractive, practical kitchen designs and presenting clear, accurate quotations.
• Managing your sales pipeline, following up enquiries and converting opportunities into orders.
• Attending site visits and checking measurements and installation requirements (our installation manager will support with this).
• Working closely with our ordering and installation teams to ensure the project runs smoothly through ordering and installation phases.
• Helping maintain an inviting, well-presented showroom.

About you

We are looking for someone with professional kitchen design and sales experience who is comfortable taking ownership of customer relationships.

You’ll need:

• At least three years’ experience in a professional kitchen design and sales role.
• Practical experience using dedicated kitchen design and quotation software.
• The ability to produce accurate designs, specifications and quotations independently.
• Sound knowledge of kitchen furniture, worktops and installation considerations.
• Confidence presenting designs, discussing budgets and asking for the sale.
• Strong organisation and consistent communication across multiple live projects.
• A collaborative approach and interest in supporting your colleagues.

We’ll help you learn our ranges, systems and processes. You should already be confident in the fundamentals of kitchen design and sales.

Pay: £33,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
