DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to build, automate, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure for our engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, containerisation, and monitoring tools.

You will collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to streamline software delivery, improve system reliability, and enable faster, more efficient deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and containerisation technologies.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Good scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent platforms.
• Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and application security.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and automated security scanning.
• Knowledge of GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Familiarity with serverless computing and cloud-native architectures.
• Understanding of SRE principles, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Experience optimising cloud infrastructure costs and resource utilisation.
• Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
