Sr Director, Marketing AI Transformation

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Director, Marketing AI Transformation to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This leader will define and scale how AI supports marketing execution, with a focus on building practical capabilities that improve speed, quality, and consistency across the function. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical depth, requiring close partnership with engineering, data science, and marketing stakeholders. You will guide a team building production-ready AI workflows that turn prioritized use cases into measurable business outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $157,500 – $292,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Own AI skills development by architecting, building, and maintaining marketing workflow capabilities.
• Lead and grow a team of AI engineers while actively participating in hands-on development.
• Convert prioritized AI use cases into measurable capabilities within set timelines and quality standards.
• Manage dependencies by coordinating with engineering and data science teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Deliver complete marketing workflows from brief to channel-ready output across various functions.
• Embed with marketing teams to understand workflows and ensure adoption of built solutions.
• Establish engineering governance to monitor quality and manage risks in production AI.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and shipping production AI applications, including agentic workflows and tool integration.
• Deep understanding of B2B marketing and the technology that supports it, particularly in data and analytics.
• Strong technical foundation in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software engineering, with a focus on quality and governance.
• Proven track record of building and scaling capabilities or platforms from scratch.
• Experience leading engineering teams as a hands-on builder-leader, setting technical direction.
• Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and deliver through influence.
• Sound judgment on quality and risk in production AI.
