Senior Visual Communication Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Visual Communication Designer based in the United States.

We are seeking a talented, strategic, and hands-on designer who can transform complex business ideas into clear, compelling visual communications. In this role, you will partner directly with enterprise clients to understand their goals, identify communication challenges, and deliver thoughtful, high-quality design solutions. You will work across a diverse range of branded materials, including presentations, reports, marketing campaigns, videos, and other communication assets. Balancing creative concept development with detailed production work, you will help organizations communicate consistently and effectively within established brand systems. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced designer who combines exceptional visual craft with strong client consulting skills and business-minded thinking. You will also have the opportunity to leverage emerging creative technologies and AI tools to enhance design quality and efficiency in a remote, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities

• Translate business objectives, complex ideas, and communication challenges into clear, engaging, and effective visual solutions.
• Collaborate directly with enterprise clients to understand their needs, recommend appropriate design approaches, and confidently present the reasoning behind creative decisions.
• Develop and deliver a wide range of visual communication materials, including presentations, reports, marketing assets, campaign materials, videos, and branded content.
• Apply established brand guidelines consistently while identifying opportunities to improve visual quality, clarity, and overall communication effectiveness.
• Move seamlessly between strategic concept development, creative problem-solving, and high-volume production and adaptation of design assets.
• Maintain exceptional standards of craftsmanship, accuracy, typography, layout, composition, and information design across all deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions align with project objectives, client expectations, and brand requirements.
• Use AI-powered tools and emerging creative technologies thoughtfully to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and strengthen creative outcomes.
• Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail, and strong client relationships.
• Adapt to working with global clients across multiple time zones and accommodate occasional travel to client locations or company headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating outstanding visual design and communication capabilities across branding, marketing, and other business communication applications. A portfolio link or uploaded portfolio is required; applications without one will not be considered.
• Advanced skills in conceptual design, typography, layout, composition, visual storytelling, and information design.
• Proven experience designing within established brand systems, preferably for large enterprises or complex organizations.
• Ability to understand the underlying business or communication challenge behind a design request and recommend effective, strategically aligned solutions.
• Strong hands-on design skills and a genuine enthusiasm for personally executing creative work from concept through final delivery.
• Experience working directly with clients, presenting design recommendations, explaining creative rationale, and incorporating feedback.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, alongside strong presentation design skills using PowerPoint, Google Slides, and/or Keynote.
• Experience in an agency, consultancy, or fast-paced client-services environment is preferred, particularly when managing multiple client accounts, deliverables, and competing deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
