About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining a modern microservices-based platform built around Java 21 and Spring Boot. Your responsibilities will include taking ownership of backend services, contributing to architectural decisions, and working closely with cross-functional teams comprising product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps specialists. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on hands-on development and enjoys solving complex distributed systems challenges.

The successful candidate will play a key role in a strategic initiative to modernize our digital platform, which encompasses customer onboarding, order management, billing, and notification services. Your work will involve extracting functionality from legacy monolithic applications and creating new, independently deployable services designed for scalability, resilience, and rapid release cycles. You will help define service boundaries, establish API contracts, and implement best practices for data consistency and event handling across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience in Java development, typically around 10 years or more, with recent work involving Java 17 or 21, demonstrating deep understanding of JVM performance, concurrency, and collections.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot framework, dependency injection, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Security.
• Proven track record of delivering and operating microservices, with knowledge of service boundaries, circuit breakers, retries, timeouts, and eventual consistency.
• Experience designing and implementing secure REST APIs, including OpenAPI documentation, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and token-based authentication.
• Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka, including consumer groups, message ordering, delivery guarantees, and duplicate processing handling.
• Strong SQL skills with expertise in relational database modeling, transaction management, query optimization, and familiarity with PostgreSQL and Redis caching.
• Experience deploying applications to cloud environments like AWS, utilizing Docker containers and Kubernetes for orchestration.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit 5, Mockito, and experience with integration testing tools like Testcontainers or WireMock.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git, build tools such as Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and work effectively within Agile teams.
